It can be hard to keep up with how quickly technology moves. You dont need to have the latest and greatest device but you should be wary of letting your equipment become outdated and obsolete. Older computer systems are not just slower, they are also less secure.
Computers slow down over time. It happens gradually, so you don’t tend to notice it.
Side by side, a 3 year old computer will be so much slower than the latest version.
But there’s another big downside of older computers that scares most IT professionals…
Older computers may not be capable of running the latest operating system or antivirus software, making it vulnerable to malware and hacking attempts.
New equipment does costs money. But it’s a good investment to stop your data falling into the wrong hands.
