Say goodbye to embarrassing interruptions during video calls and Teams meetings!
We’ve all been there: you’re on a crucial video call with a client, confidently presenting your latest project updates, when suddenly a notification pops up on your screen. It might be from your significant other reminding you about your child’s morning tantrum or a message from your gym wondering why you haven’t shown up in months. Embarrassing, right?
Well, Microsoft might have a solution.
Reports suggest they are working on a new feature that will allow you to hide specific apps entirely while on a Teams call. This means you won’t have to worry about intrusive notifications stealing your thunder.
This feature will completely hide the apps from sight instead of minimising them to the taskbar, sparing you from surprises (and blushes).
It could also help boost your device’s performance by freeing up valuable computing power and resources, which means there will be no more frantic app and browser window closures to ensure a smooth video stream. The new feature will allow you to focus on your calls without worrying about technical hiccups or embarrassing distractions.
It’s not yet a reality, but we’ll keep an eye on the official Microsoft 365 roadmap for release dates and keep you informed.
